Jennifer S. Lopez, DOM, AP, DIHom  is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Florida and is nationally board certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  She is also a professional member of Acupuncturists without Borders.  She holds a Doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Master degree in Oriental Medicine, Bachelor degree in Psychology,  Bachelor degree in Health Science, and a certificate in Homeopathy awarding her the letters D.I. Hom from the British Institute of Homeopathy.  Dr. Lopez is a PhD candidate for the Shaghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the specialty, TCM Pediatrics.

Jennifer earned her Doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine and her Masters in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelors in Health Sciences from the Acupuncture and Massage College.  She also holds a Bachelor in Psychology and Fine Art from the University of Miami, as well as her Diplomat of Homeopathic Medicine from the British Institute of Homeopathy.

Dr. Lopez takes a multidisciplinary approach to treatment by incorporating different modalities like electro-stimulation, cupping, moxibustion, Tuina, and Chinese herbology to treat the whole body.  She has studied different acupuncture masters on their techniques.  This includes Master Tung’s points, Dr. Tan’s Balancing method, Five Elements, Eight Principles, Six States, Four Levels, and the mostly used Zang-Fu method of pattern differentiation.

Jennifer decided to pursue a career in Traditional Chinese Medicine after completing her studies for pre-med at the University of Miami  and shadowing various physicians and emergency rooms.  She knew she wanted to help others, but felt that her current path would not fully satisfy her purpose.  She researched and found a passion through homeopathy and herbology, leading her discovery to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Her treatment philosophy is to treat the whole person, addressing all aspects of her patients’ lives, taking into account their physical and mental health, diet, an lifestyle habits.
Dr. Lopez is a wife, mother to four children, two kittens and one Dachshund, and enjoys art, scuba diving, and various sports.
